Creating a Subdomain and Installing a WordPress with GoDaddy

What is a Subdomain?

A subdomain is a separate site that is attached to your domain. It operates as its own website but still has your domain in the name. Best yet, they are free with GoDaddy. Subdomains look like this: subdomain.yourdomain.com.

When to use a page versus a subdomain?

If you want a new design on the page for something like a landing page, subdomains are the way to go. You can install your own separate WordPress workstation or CSS onto that domain. If you want the design to stay the same and you are just changing content – a new page is the way to go.
