neo-modern punk graphic design and web development
Dani Leonard is an expressive and dedicated graphic designer living in West Michigan. She currently works as an Experience Designer at Johnson Rauhoff following three years of freelancing and a few semesters teaching at Kendall College of Art and Design. Dani is also pursuing her Master’s Degree in Media Design from Full Sail University. She will be graduated in January 2021. Unafraid of color, texture, and patterns, Dani strives to give her designs a fresh look. However, she designs are not just aesthetically pleasing. All her projects begin with extensive research on client’s needs, industry and consumers.
Dani Leonard is one of three chapter heads of Ladies, Wine and Design Grand Rapids. She also participates with Code for Good when time allows and serves on the Education Board for AIGA West Michigan. She is passionate about bringing her design community together and benefiting non-profits through design and web presence.
When Dani is not working, she can be found hanging out with her beloved pooches. She is married to Gary Mavis who is also a graphic designer and web developer. Together, they spend time traveling the world to attend music festivals. Dani’s favorite bands include Real Friends, The Front Bottoms, Mom Jeans, The Wonder Years and Neck Deep. Her favorite music festival is Riot Fest which takes place in Chicago near the Fall. Besides music and design, her interests include art history, Sims, and reading.
